Our Vintage expression has become a tradition at anCnoc and our recently released Vintage 2009 is a fitting testimony to the time-honoured methods employed in the production of this traditional yet distinctly modern single malt.
anCnoc Vintage 2009 has been matured in Spanish and American oak casks and has been bottled in its most natural form, neither coloured or non-chill filtered. As a result this dram may develop a light haze with the addition of water or if kept at a cold temperature. This haze is a natural characteristic of whisky that is non chill-filtered.
Tasting notes
classic honey and citrus flavours which are typical of anCnoc single malt whisky. With a smooth and delicate finish.
Colour
Bright Golden.
Nose
Delicate spices of American oak, with notes of citrus, green apples and sweet toffee.
Taste
Rich spiciness, sweet green apples, dark chocolate with hint of butterscotch which adds more complexity to this fine single malt.
